Within the CEF Digital Programme the Commission of the European Communities (referred to as “the European Commission”) has concluded a contract (SMART 2016/010, contract number LC-00564561) for the implementation of the "service desk" component of the CEF Automated Translation platform and a programme support action – the CEF AT Tools and Services. The consortium consisting of the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI, www.dfki.de), the Evaluations and Language Resource Distribution Agency (ELDA, www.elda.org), the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP/Athena R.C., www.ilsp.gr), Tilde (www.tilde.com), Crosslang (http://www.crosslang.com) and International Data Corporation (IDC, https://www.idc.com) are jointly responsible for the collection and processing of personal data.
As part of the SMART 2016/010, number LC-00564561 contract, CEF AT Tools and Services has developed and maintains a Catalogue of Services of CEF Automated Translation (henceforth Catalogue). The Catalogue lists Language Technologies, Tools & Services that can help all CEF AT stakeholders (public administrations, businesses, system developers etc.) overcome language barriers and address multilingual needs. The Catalogue is hosted by the ILSP/ Athena R.C., as member of the CEF AT Tools and Services consortium, on behalf of the European Commission.
The CEF AT Tools and Services and all its members are committed to goal- and risk-oriented information privacy and the fundamental right to the protection of personal data. Visit and usage of the Catalogue website are anonymous. At our website personal data are only collected to the technically necessary extent (i.e. for registration to the Catalogue). Within the Catalogue of CEF AT Tools and Services, personal data are only collected for the following purposes:
Registered users can always access and modify their personal data through the Catalogue.
Your personal data provided to us at the registration procedure (i.e. name, organisation, email, country, password) are only processed for legitimate purposes. We may use them to contact you regarding the tools/services you have recorded and described, events that we organise and other information we have produced you may be interested in, and for statistical purposes.
The personal data (name, email, organisation, telephone number) provided to us at the notice and take and down procedure (see below) are only processed to communicate with you and for statistical purposes. They are only disclosed to third parties upon your consent and only for protecting your rights. After the dispute has been resolved, we delete them unless otherwise requested by the law. From time to time the Catalogue service provider may use electronic forms, other than the registration or the notice and take down procedures, to gather personal information for purposes directly related to a service, function, activity or event of the CEF AT Tools and Services. When the service provider will do so, it will let users know the purpose for which the information is being collected (including if the information is to be published). Completion of and submission of any form on the Catalogue website is entirely at the discretion of the user.
The legitimate interests pursued by CEF AT Tools and Services include, among others, also the adaptation and optimisation of the information offering and the investigation, detection and prosecution of illegal activities in connection with the usage of the Catalogue website.
When you are visiting the Catalogue website no data are transmitted to social media services. Profiling by any third parties hence is precluded. You though have the option to change over to our information offerings on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. For the usage of these services we refer to the data protection policies of the respective service providers. We are processing your personal data within the social networks insofar as you post contributions, send messages or otherwise communicate with us.
You have the option to contact us by e-mail. We will use your e-mail address and other personal contact data for the correspondence with you.
