MetaSearch is a search and browsing system which orients the user and allows a unified vision, through a single access point, of all types of information, from different archives. It searches different sources of information on the web, in local or web folders, e-mail etc.. contents in multiple formats (text, mail, doc, pdf, xml, etc.), from which it automatically creates metadata profiles. These are then used to enrich the information with suggestions and further search keys. The system is able to manage already structured formats (for example the domain of Beni Culturali PICO, METS, ICCD formats, etc.).

It is tailored to public administration archives, libraries and museums catalogues and repositories, information systems in research organizations, management systems for firms and groups of firms, e-learning platforms.
