Translexy / The TraMOOC platform is a machine translation service for text genres included in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) such as assignments, tests, presentations, lecture subtitles and forum discussions from English into eleven European and BRIC languages (DE, IT, PT, EL, NL, CS, BG, HR, PL, RU, ZH).
The platform developed during the course of the TraMOOC project uses neural translation architecture and domain adaptation techniques to deliver machine translation adapted to the MOOC / education domain. A variety of file formats is supported, including HTML, subtitles and Microsoft Office documents with both synchronous and asynchronous translation modes. The core of the service is free and open-source with some commercialised premium add-on services.
The service is available as a web API (contact the provider for an API key). A test and demo version is available on the Translexy homepage.
