According to the Data Protection Regulation, it is necessary to maintain confidentiality regarding the publication of certain types of data or named entities such as, for example, names of persons, ID card numbers, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, vehicle registration numbers, bank accounts, social security numbers, etc. The Named Entity Protector automatically detects and sanitizes this type of personal data of written texts, both in Basque and in Spanish. When a data or named entity to be protected is automatically detected, a set of characters will be displayed in its place. This set will be a predefined model that will give an indication of the type of data that has been hidden. In this way, the user will be able to understand the text while confidentiality is fully protected.
